The Connections & Volunteer Ministry Coordinator oversees the baptism process by managing class registrations, testimony production, and event planning while serving as the primary point of contact for candidates. This position also involves coordinating the newcomers program, acting as the first touchpoint for inquiries, and facilitating onboarding processes. As a key member of the Volunteer Ministry, this individual will also handle roster and sign-up sheet coordination, maintain volunteer databases, as well as manage the logistics, team, and supplies for the Coffee Corner.
The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in customer service, possessing the strong interpersonal skills and nuanced cultural sensitivities necessary to lead a diverse community. This individual must demonstrate high flexibility and quick problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operations. An openness to using new technology and software is essential, and fluency in both English and Cantonese is a plus. This position is offered as a part-time or contract role.
